Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex. They proivde care for children and young people who have life-limiting illnesses, which means that they will probably die before they reach adulthood.
Caring for sick children is a 24 hour a day, seven days a week job so it is important for the while family to have a break, to take time out and relax.
The care provided at Chestnut Tree House is "holistic" meaning that they care for the whole family by providing practical support, enriching experiences and the ability to live life to the full in a very special place.
Families are never charged for their care but it costs £2million each year to provide this care. They recieve less than 10% from the government so rely almost entirely on the generosity of the people of Sussex to help them provide this vital service to their special children and their families.
Stanmer House will be donating 10% of venue hire to Chestnut Tree House.
